Qualifications Required:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark sheet metal using templates
- Operate machinery to cut, punch, drill, shape, and straighten sheet metal
- Grind and buff seams and rough surfaces
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications
Working Conditions:
- Shop and on-site fabrication settings
- Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling involved
- Must provide own transportation
- Steel-toed safety boots and tools required
