Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and prepare layouts per building codes
- Measure, cut, shape and join construction materials
- Build foundations, subflooring, walls, and roofing systems
- Fit/install doors, windows, mouldings, stairs, and hardware
- Repair and renovate wooden structures in various settings
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations
- Supervise workers and instruct apprentices
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites
Working Conditions:
