Qualifications Required:
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Certificates: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect motor in operation
- Review work orders
- Road test motor vehicles
- Test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Estimate parts and labour cost
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Complete reports

- Requires specialization in: electrical/electronic systems, diagnostics, alignment, steering/suspension, brake system, fuel/emission systems, ignition/electrical, transmission, drive train components
