Qualifications Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in vocational rehabilitation counselling
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate counselling effectiveness and outcomes
- Interview clients to assess employment history, education, and career goals
- Prepare case histories and assess problems
- Refer clients to external services
- Identify employment barriers and assist with job readiness, search strategies, résumés, and interviews
- Perform administrative tasks
- Administer and interpret aptitude and interest tests
- Provide labour market information
- Advise on job dissatisfaction, career changes, and workplace transitions
- Prepare reports (assessment, progress, follow-up, court)
- Liaise with community agencies and provide referrals
- Conduct psychosocial assessments
