Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation tools
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- Monitor vehicle condition and perform emergency roadside repairs
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance, and fuel consumption
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Address customer complaints and provide professional service
- Perform preventive maintenance and communicate with dispatch
Working Conditions:
- Work locations vary; frequent or constant travel required
- Manual transmission vehicle operation
- Willingness to travel overnight and for extended periods
- Physically demanding, handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
