Qualifications Required:
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: Will train
Job Responsibilities:
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Pave and rake asphalt
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Working Conditions:
- Work environment: Outdoors, at heights, noisy, dangerous, dusty
- Work setting: Various locations
- Equipment experience: Bobcats, concrete vibrators, circular saws, concrete saws, chippers, jackhammers, air guns, nail guns, drills, chain saw, sledgehammer
- Construction specialization: Residential
- Transportation: Own transportation required
- Physical demands: Fast-paced, work under pressure, physically demanding, tight deadlines, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs)
