Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Certificates: Forklift Operator Certification
- Licences: Own vehicle
Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
- Apply and smooth coats of compound and plaster
- Install metal corner beads, ceiling grids, and acoustic tiles
- Tape joints, spray texture materials, and finish surfaces
- Maintain and repair drywall and plaster structures
- Supervise 1 to 2 workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other software
- Work at heights and erect scaffolding
Working Conditions:
- At heights, outdoors, noisy, dusty, and potentially dangerous environments
- Physically demanding with heavy loads and repetitive tasks
- Requires manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Own tools/equipment: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed safety boots
- Weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
