Qualifications Required:
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years)
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and workstations
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
- Perform routine network startup/shutdown and maintain control records
- Conduct data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Set up LANs and Internet connections
- Monitor network traffic and security, optimize server performance
- Modify web pages, applets, and scripts
- Apply metadata and register websites with search engines
- Respond to website-related inquiries
- Perform web server backup and recovery
- Supervise technical staff
