Job Details:

  • Location: 385-387 Signet Dr, Toronto, ON, M9L 1V3
  • Salary: $34.07 hourly / 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Type of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
  • Shift: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Morning

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications and read welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment and various metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding and brazing machines.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Experience and Specialization:

  • Type of Materials: Aluminum alloys, stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
  • Welding Techniques: GTAW (TIG), GMAW, brazing, and soldering.
  • Equipment Experience: Arc welding machine, gas welding machine, spot welding machine.

Additional Information:

  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs), and overtime may be required.
