Qualifications Needed:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in cabinetmaking or a related field
Responsibilities:
- Operate woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
- Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets that maximize storage.
- Shape surfaces or edges of workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
- Prepare layouts in compliance with building codes, using measuring tools.

- Physically demanding role, requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Environment may be noisy and dusty.
