Qualifications Needed:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 5 years or more in welding and fitting.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications and read welding blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding and flame-cutting equipment.
- Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
- Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding and brazing machines.
Experience and Specialization:
- Materials: Experience with stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
- Welding Techniques: Proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) (TIG), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- Equipment: Familiarity with arc welding machines and custom fabrication processes.
Working Conditions:
- On-site work; there is no option to work remotely.
- Work environment includes heights and confined spaces.
- Physically demanding tasks, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
