Job Details:
- Location: Thornhill, ON
- Salary: $34.50 per hour
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours of Work: 35 to 40 hours per week (Flexible Hours, To be determined)
- Start Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications Required:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 to 3 years in a culinary role, preferably as a sous-chef or in a similar position
- Languages: English
Responsibilities:
- Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Analyze operating costs and other data to improve efficiency
- Create new recipes and menu items
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis or for special guests/functions
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions
- Plan menus to ensure food meets quality standards
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling
