Qualifications:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Responsibilities:
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Level and smooth coats of plaster
- Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing
- Cut and install metal corner beads
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
- Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs if required
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages
Credentials:
- WHMIS Certificate
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Work Conditions:
- Physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Tools and Equipment:
- Must provide own tools, including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed safety boots
