Requirements:
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in carpentry, specifically in bridge construction
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
- Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
- Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in various settings including mills, mines, and industrial plants
