Job Overview:
As a Truck Driver (Tractor-Trailer) at Highlight Motor Freight Inc., you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials. Your role will involve ensuring the safety and security of the cargo while complying with all transportation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
- Ensure safety and security of cargo through tarping
- Maintain accurate documentation, including accident reports, trip reports, and driver logbooks
Credentials:
- Certificates: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver’s License: Class 1 or A
Experience and Specialization:
- Knowledge of accident or incident reports, bill of lading, inspection reports, and trans-border documentation
- Experience with long-haul, national, and short-haul transportation
Additional Information:
- Must pass a criminal record check, driving record check, and drug test
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight
