Qualifications Necessary
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in baking or a related field
- Languages: English
Responsibilities of the Job
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Prepare special orders and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
- Draw up production schedules and organize inventory
- Hire and dismiss staff as necessary
