Salary: $33.00 to $42.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week

Education Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience Requirements:
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics
Work Environment:
- On-site work only, no remote options
- Fast-paced automotive repair shop environment
Responsibilities:
- Discuss work requirements with the supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Review work orders and road test motor vehicles
- Test automotive systems and components, and adjust, repair, or replace parts as necessary
- Estimate parts and labor costs for maintenance and repairs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service and document problems and work performed
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Coach and instruct apprentices and provide customer service
Credentials:
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
- Certificates in specialized areas (e.g., Tire, wheel and rim mechanic; Fuel and Electrical Systems; Transmission; Steering, Suspension, and Brakes; Service Station Mechanic)
- Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Experience and Specialization:
- Specialization in engine repair, electrical and electronic systems, diesel engines, diagnostics, and HVAC systems
Additional Information:
- Bondable with a valid driver’s license and driving record check required
- Must provide own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots
