- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years) in Business/Commerce, Office Management, or Accounting Technology/Bookkeeping
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Responsibilities:
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
- Process credit cards, vouchers, and other payments
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain and manage a digital database
- Prepare invoices and bank deposits
- Perform clerical duties (faxing, filing, photocopying)
- Provide customer service
- Assist in preparing annual budgets
- Prepare agendas and make arrangements for meetings
Skills Required:
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Sage Accounting Software, and database software
- Personal suitability: Accurate, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Organized, Time management
