Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Clean kitchen and work areas
Experience and Specialization:
- Credentials: Cook Red Seal Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Safe Food Handling Certificate, Food Safety Certificate
- Cuisine Specialties: Gluten-free
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Additional Information:
- Security and Safety: Bondable, criminal record check required
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation required
- Work Conditions: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, overtime may be required, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, work under pressure
