Job Details

  • Location: 2253, Rd 120, RR2, St. Marys, ON, N4X 1C5
  • Salary: $32.00 to $38.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
  • Type of Employment: Permanent employment; Full-time
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week; Day shifts with overtime as required
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications Necessary

  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • Experience: 5 years or more in CNC machining or a related field
  • Languages: English

Responsibilities of the Job

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerances
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
  • Verify product dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications

Experience and Specialization

  • Proficient in Mastercam CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, and programming software
  • Experience with milling machines, surface grinders, and CNC machines
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship training and policy and program experience

Additional Information

  • Security and Safety: Bondable; criminal record check and basic security clearance may be required
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation and vehicle required; valid driver’s license necessary; public transportation is not available
