Key Responsibilities
As a Pastry Cook, your primary duties will include:
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies necessary for pastry preparation.
- Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Ordering supplies and equipment required for daily operations.
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers to maintain high standards of food quality.
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning the kitchen and work areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Managing kitchen operations efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
Experience: Previous experience as a pastry cook is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically demanding role that may require standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Client-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service.
