We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team in Etobicoke. Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, your primary duties will include:
- Determining the size of food portions and estimating costs for menu items.
- Planning menus and estimating food requirements for their preparation.
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning the kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
Qualifications
Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a cooking role, preferably with experience in Portuguese cuisine.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment, including deep fryers.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
