Salary: $34.25 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week

Hours: 35-40 hours per week; Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning shifts available.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

About R.N.G. Transport Inc

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee vehicle condition; inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required for international cargo transport

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Willing to train
  • Credentials: AZ Class License

Skills and Abilities:

  • Documentation knowledge (Accident/incident reports, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports)
  • Experience with refrigerated tractor-trailer units
  • Experience with GPS, onboard computers, and other navigation/communication systems
  • Local, Provincial/territorial, Regional, and Short-haul transportation experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Ability to work with a large workload and overtime
  • Proficiency in English
