Key Responsibilities
As a Law Clerk, your primary duties will include:
- Coordinating administrative services to support the legal team.
- Drafting contracts, preparing promissory notes, and drawing up wills, mortgages, and other legal documents.
- Performing clerical duties, including maintaining filing systems.
- Preparing wills, real estate transactions, and other legal documents, as well as court reports and affidavits.
- Conducting research on records, court files, and other legal documents.
- Collecting and recording administrative and service fees.
Qualifications
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years in legal studies or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience as a law clerk or in a similar role.
Skills Required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
