Overview:
Brynn Catering is looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a passion for food service in a restaurant environment. This role requires excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation and customer service.
Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing methods to meet work schedules effectively.
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies necessary for daily operations.
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Training staff in their job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Estimating the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
- Hiring food service staff to ensure adequate workforce.
- Ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Preparing budget and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
- Addressing customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Preparing and submitting reports on kitchen operations.
- Preparing food order summaries for the chef.
- Supervising and checking the assembly of trays and delivery of food.
Qualifications:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a kitchen management role.
- Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
