Key Responsibilities
As an Early Childhood Educator, your primary duties will include:
- Developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Leading activities such as storytelling, singing, and excursions to local points of interest.
- Encouraging children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
- Guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
- Planning and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
Qualifications
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: Relevant experience in early childhood education is an asset.
Credentials
- Food allergy and anaphylaxis training.
- Membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- First Aid and CPR certificates.
Additional Information
- Must provide immunization records and undergo a vulnerable sector check.
- Own transportation is preferred, though public transportation is available.

- Ability to work as part of a team and prioritize the well-being of children.
