Superior Greenstone Association for Community Living is dedicated to providing support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Geraldton. Key Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Professional, your primary duties will include:
- Administering bedside and personal care to clients.
- Assisting clients with bathing and personal hygiene needs.
- Feeding or assisting clients in feeding.
- Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
- Shopping for food and household supplies.
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals.
- Engaging in community program development to enhance client participation.
Qualifications
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train; previous experience in a caregiving role is an asset.
Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
- Ability to provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Excellent communication skills in English or French.
- Dependability and a positive attitude.
Credentials
- CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are preferred.
Additional Information
- A criminal record check and vulnerable sector check will be required.
- References attesting to your experience will need to be provided.
