Academy of Learning College is a leading educational institution dedicated to providing quality training and skills development. We are currently seeking skilled Network Administrators to join our team in Mississauga, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
As a Network Administrator, your primary duties will include:
- Installing web server hardware and software.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks.
- Troubleshooting and upgrading web server hardware and software.
- Evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- Providing problem-solving support to network users.
- Implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.
- Performing routine network start-up and shutdown, and maintaining control records.
- Conducting data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Setting up local area networks and internet connections.
- Implementing network traffic and security monitoring software and optimizing server performance.
- Modifying web pages, applets, and scripts.
- Researching and applying meta-data to websites and registering websites with search engines.
- Responding to requests for help and information from website visitors and designers.
- Performing web-server backup and recovery operations.
- Supervising technical staff.
Qualifications
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in network administration.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in JavaOS, device drivers, networking software, networking security, and servers.
- Knowledge of file management software, MS Office, MS Windows, and database software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
