Pizzaiolo is a renowned establishment specializing in delicious pizzas and a variety of Italian dishes. We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Cooks to join our kitchen team in Hamilton. Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, your primary duties will include:
- Determining food portion sizes and estimating costs.
- Planning menus and estimating food requirements for efficient meal preparation.
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes.
- Ensuring dishes are prepared for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Ordering supplies and equipment necessary for kitchen operations.
- Cleaning the kitchen and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Managing kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in a kitchen or similar environment.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to work under pressure while maintaining quality and service.
