Key Responsibilities
As a Welder, your primary duties will include:
- Interpreting welding process specifications and blueprints.
- Operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment.
- Examining welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal components.
- Determining the weldability of various materials.
- Fabricating or repairing metal parts and products using welding machines.
- Using brazing or soldering techniques to bond metals and fill seams.
Qualifications
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma in welding or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant welding experience.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in welding techniques, including Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Flexibility and a strong work ethic.
