OPTIK K&R Inc. is a privately held Canadian corporation that manufactures, imports, and distributes eye care products. We provide high-quality products directly to industry professionals across Canada, including opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, and M.D.’s. Our offerings include contact lenses, eyeglass lenses, frames, and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory management, including conducting inventory counts.
- Process purchase orders and verify package contents upon receipt.
- Contact suppliers regarding product availability, back orders, and pricing.
- Organize and put away stock in the warehouse.
- Pick and pack products for shipping.
- Mark lenses with ink as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or shipping roles is preferred.
- Experience in the ophthalmic (optical) industry is a strong asset.
- Educational qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; ophthalmic industry education is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (ISO, OHSA) is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to carry trays and small boxes.
- Must be energetic and able to perform physical tasks.
Required Skills:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently without supervision.
- Basic math skills at the high school level.
- Basic oral and written English communication skills.
