Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Oretta King West, located in the vibrant heart of Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests enjoy a memorable dining experience by providing attentive, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests, offering menus and sharing information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks to guests, checking in regularly to ensure their satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash transactions and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Assist with food preparation when needed, following all food safety regulations.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any concerns guests may have.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy times, demonstrating strong time management skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is a plus.
- Strong cash-handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are beneficial.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills are essential.
- A proactive approach to addressing guest needs and solving problems is key.
Compensation
- $19.55 – $26.36 per hour
