We are seeking an experienced Chef Concierge to join our team at The Yorkville Royal Sonesta Hotel. This role involves providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a “Wow” experience for all our visitors. The Chef Concierge will manage all concierge services, handle guest requests, and maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concierge Services:
  • Manage and coordinate all concierge operations, including reservations for dining, tours, and activities.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and service providers to offer high-quality options for guests.
  • Stay updated on local events and attractions to make informed recommendations.
  • Guest Relations:
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Guest Relations Desk.
  • Provide personalized guest service, including handling special requests, arranging transportation, and offering local recommendations.
  • Address guest complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure VIP guests enjoy a tailored check-in/check-out experience.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, train, and supervise concierge staff, ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Plan and distribute daily tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Set departmental goals and strategies, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and feedback.
  • Prepare reports on concierge operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and supplies for the department.
  • Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between guests and hotel management to communicate special needs or requests.
  • Collaborate with other departments for a seamless guest experience.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Handle unexpected situations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest and client experiences.
  • Les Clefs d’Or Certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Ability to stand, move, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • May require working nights, weekends, or holidays.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 – $68,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).

Work Schedule

  • 8-hour shifts, including evenings and mornings.
  • Weekend shifts as needed.

Education

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred).
